About Us

Established in the Thirties, and run by the Woolsey family since the 1950s, Woolsey of Acton has maintained its reputation as a friendly, professional business with the personal touch.

The shop is located in Acton Lane, Acton, London close to Southfield Road, known locally as “the shop by the railway bridge”.

Malcolm Woolsey, his father Roger and team of qualified mechanics will deal with your every cyclist need. All our staff are regular cyclists themselves and are therefore able to offer you the best advice and guidance on any aspect of cycling. What’s more, one of our staff is a fully qualifiied British Cycling level 3 coach and would be more than happy to offer you any coaching advice. For further details, see the Capital Cycle Coaching website.

Be sure to visit us and make your request known to us. The shop may be small but, like the Tardis, we have more stock behind the scenes than there is room to display.

As busy as we are in the shop, we still find time to do some cycling ourselves. We are all members of the Westerley Cycling Club whose main activity is time-trialling. On Sunday mornings we are up at the crack of dawn to conduct time-trial events – one of the reasons we aren’t open Sundays. Please ask for details if you fancy having a go yourselves.
